Abstract
|
|
|
Von Willebrand¡¯s disease is the most common hereditary bleeding disorder occurring
in both sexes with a dominant inheritance and is characterized primarily by bleeding
from the mucous membrane. The laboratory hallmarks of von Willebrand¡¯s disease are
prolonged bleeding time, reduced platelet adhesiveness to glass and reduced factor ¥·
level.
In this paper we presented a case of von Willebrand¡¯s disease and briefly reviewed
the literatures. The present case had prolonged bleeding episodes from the mucous
membrane and had prolonged bleeding time by Duke method which was shortened after
transfusion of normal plasma.
